Solar Hut – Kebab Edition

So yesterday I promised you a shot of Tim Witmer, winner of the SPVS category getting his hands dirty, so here it is.

And here.

And here.

What you see above is Tim working with Professor Illah Nourbakhsh (from CMU) prepping materials to test the ventilation of the Solar Hut (which is using SPVS technology).

Here is the beginning the test.

Tim and Illah checking things out in the hut.

Grace Hawthorne, Consulting Associate Professor at the Hasso Plattner Institute of Design at Stanford charting the results.

Fire wasn’t the only thing tested, Illah also cooked some persian kebab as another way to test the hut’s ventilation. Here is a picture of the kebab…it was delicious.

To the naked eye it looked like the tests were working but I’m not an expert…I only play one on this blog. Hopefully we will be able to share some of the actual findings with you tomorrow.
